With Bentley's 100th anniversary coming up next year and the Mulliner division is celebrating its founder with a special edition of Mulsanne. It is a tribute to the company's founder, W.O. Bentley contains a piece from one of his cars.
The special model can be ordered with a regular Mulsanne, Mulsanne Speed or Mulsanne Long Wheelbase. It was inspired by a 1930 8 Litre Bentley owned by W.O. The 1930 8 Litre Bentley that W.O. The influence of this car can be seen in the cabin. For instance the Mulliner illuminated bar cabinet comes with an exhibit with a portion of the 8 Litre crankshaft that is displayed inside.
Other highlights include a chrome application running back along the side of the car, which has an air vent with a photoetched B shape which incorporates W.O. The front grille is modeled in 1930s-style Onyx and there's a chrome cladding around the lower spoilers to the left and right. The front grille is unique, gaining chrome mesh instead of the typical body-color mesh like that of the standard Mulsanne and incorporating the Flying B logo as well.
A keybox engraved with the Bentley wings can hold two keys, and comes with a black flock lining. individual key pouches are also available to complement or contrast the key box. The set is also commemorative, and includes a custom 1:18 scale model of the 8 Litre and the paperweight that flies with the letter 'B and a printed brochure that features images that have never before been seen of the original 1930s 8 Litre.
